Infrared light-emitting diodes are diodes that emit infrared light, which is electromagnetic radiation in the range of 700 nm to 1 mm, and are commonly used in remote controls or with infrared cameras. Different infrared LEDs may produce different wavelengths of infrared light, just as different LEDs produce different colors of light.
