Chip on board is basically a led chip manufacturer bonding multiple LED chips (usually nine or more) directly to a substrate to form a single module. The advantages of chip-on-board LED arrays include: high packaging density of LED arrays; high intensity, especially in close proximity; high uniformity, even at close operating distances; simplicity of design, as only 1 circuit and 2 contacts are required; and excellent thermal performance for extended life, stability and reliability. It is the latest and most advanced technology on the market today.
